A Merchant Marine captain with a distinguished career spanning sea and shore, Ricardo brings decades of leadership experience across maritime, government, and economic development sectors. Since 2018, he has led the Port of Bilbao, championing its transformation into a hub of innovation, sustainability, and regional growth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Port of Bilbao\u2019s commitment to infrastructure development and the energy transition will also be explored by Andima Ormaetxe Bengoa, Director for Operations, Commercial, Logistics and Strategy. In Session 2, titled \u201cInfrastructure Development at Ports to Support Short Sea Shipping\u201d, Andima will share insight into Bilbao\u2019s ambitious decarbonisation projects and its strategic efforts to support the future of short sea shipping.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The programme continues with input from key shipping stakeholders operating through Bilbao.
