The Coastlink Conference has the potential to deliver real \u2018eureka moments\u2019 thanks to the gathering of insight and expertise, says one speaker returning to next month\u2019s event.<\/p>\n
Electrotechnical expert Tania Berry, who is Electrical Capability Lead at BMT which is stepping up this year as a Coastlink 2026 sponsor, said the conference had the capability of delivering real surprises.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year was certainly an eye-opener for me and that\u2019s why I\u2019ve come again,\u201d she said speaking ahead of the 6-7 May event in Hull. \u201cBMT are now a sponsor this year and that\u2019s on the back of last year being so successful.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve got subject matter expertise standing on the platform delivering talks, from which I always take away so much and learn so much. I find it really valuable and humbling at the same time.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne good thing that happens during Coastlink is it sparks conversation. And without collaboration efforts with an array of stakeholders, an array of industry leaders, the solution will never be met. Because there are solutions out there, we have the technology, but without stakeholders working together, it won\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n
And she added: \u201cThat\u2019s where we kind of need to lean on each other. I found at Coastlink you do get those eureka moments where you\u2019re sitting there thinking, right, that\u2019s something that we can support, or that\u2019s something that perhaps we need to have a think about. I certainly found that last year and I\u2019m looking forward to the same this year, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tania will be on the Growth and Transformation in RoRo panel at the conference which will explore the major RoRo terminal projects, innovative service delivery models, and infrastructure developments designed to meet changing shipper demands and operational requirements.<\/p>\n
The discussion will also consider how electrification is being factored into decision-making \u2014 not just as a decarbonisation requirement, but as a driver of efficiency, resilience and long-term competitiveness.<\/p>\n
In addition, delegates attending Coastlink are invited to meet BMT at their stand and join the conversation on the future of port operations.<\/p>\n
