{"id":3720,"date":"2013-02-05T10:51:00","date_gmt":"2013-02-05T10:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/coastlink\/2013\/02\/05\/ictsi-wins-honduras-bid\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T15:34:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T14:34:31","slug":"ictsi-wins-honduras-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/coastlink\/2013\/02\/05\/ictsi-wins-honduras-bid\/","title":{"rendered":"ICTSI wins Honduras bid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ICTSI already has a strong presence in the Americas \u2013 but this will be the first terminal development for the operator in central America.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was announced during a public hearing on 1 February 2013 in Tegucigalpa by members of the Commission for the Public-Private Alliance (COALIANZA) \u2013 part of the federal government of Honduras and FICOHA bank, the trustee of the conferred contract.<\/p>\n<p>ICTSI\u2019s new container terminal will have over 1000 metres of quay for containers and 400 metres for general cargo and it will cover a total of 62 hectares.<\/p>\n<p>It will allow 14m of draft, which can be increased to 15m, meaning that it will allow for calls from the new generation of post-panamax vessels.<\/p>\n<p>When completed, ICTSI says that the new terminal will handle around 1.8m teu per year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Philippines based operator, International Container Terminal Services Inc.
