{"id":3849,"date":"2013-09-06T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-09-06T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/coastlink\/2013\/09\/06\/infrastructure-grants-for-us-ports\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T15:35:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T14:35:34","slug":"infrastructure-grants-for-us-ports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/coastlink\/2013\/09\/06\/infrastructure-grants-for-us-ports\/","title":{"rendered":"Infrastructure grants for US ports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The funding is part of the FY2013 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Projects directly related to seaports included in TIGER V awards are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jackson County Port Authority \u2013 Port of Pascagoula intermodal improvement for US$14,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Diamond State Port Corporation \u2013 rehabilitation of Wharf Unit 1 (Berths 5\/6) for US$10,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Duluth Seaway Port Authority \u2013 Port of Duluth intermodal for US$10,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Port of Houston Authority \u2013 Port of Houston: Bayport Wharf for US$10,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Maryland Port Administration \u2013 Port of Baltimore enhancements for US$10,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Eastport Port Authority \u2013 Eastport breakwater replacement for US$6,000,000<\/li>\n<li>Port of Oswego \u2013 East Terminal intermodal connector for US$1,527,000<\/li>\n<li>Port of Garibaldi \u2013 Port of Garibaldi Wharf revitalisation for US$1,474,761<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Speaking of the port\u2019s funding, Adolph Ojard, executive director of Duluth Seaway Port Authority, said: \u201cThe award represents a major investment in this region\u2019s multimodal transportation system.
