The new handlers will replace the Terex\u00ae FDC 18K5, FDC 18K6 and FDC 25J models and combine the strengths of their respective predecessors with many new innovations.<\/p>\n
These easily manoeuvrable vehicles feature a compact construction and a maximum load capacity of 8 or 9 tonne spreader. They offer low fuel consumption and wear with easy access to all maintenance points.<\/p>\n
Klaus Peter Hoffmann, vice president and managing director, TPS said: \u201cOur productive Stackace machines help terminal operators accelerate processes in terminals and handle containers even more efficiently than before.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said that the machines boast increased productivity with a lifting speed that\u2019s almost 30% higher than their predecessors.<\/p>\n
Despite the significant increase in performance, the fuel consumption of the new Stackace empty container handlers has been considerably reduced. This is thanks to their modern drive train combined with a load-sensitive hydraulic system.<\/p>\n
For operators, it\u2019s also possible to reduce fuel consumption even further by using the optional Eco-Mode package which includes an automatic engine cut-out and lights-off function.<\/p>\n
The machines have state-of-the-art engines from Volvo and Cummins which are available in EPA Tier 4 final (EU Stage IV) compliant variants.<\/p>\n
Fuel consumption is also aided by the machines’ low tyre wear, primarily as a result of the well-tuned interplay of the engine and gearbox with the drive axle and good load distribution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
