This cooperation between companies and government is performed under the theme ‘Sustainable links Moerdijk’. The theme and cooperation was ratified by the Port of Moerdijk, Rijkswaterstaat Zuid-Holland, het Waterschap Brabantse Delta, Bedrijvenkring Industrieterrein Moerdijk (BIM), de Gemeente Moerdijk and the Province of Noord-Brabant on 2 April 2009. Moerdijk should be become the very picture of an industrial area with an optimum balance between economical, ecological and social aspects. The province sees in the ‘link’ project – a project in the program line ‘Clean Brabant’ – large opportunities for innovation and for bringing sustainability initiatives into practice on the industrial area. A number of links for the exchange of residual matters between companies is already realised via the circular pipe. These individual links will be further extended. Next to the economical and ecological aspects, there is a high ambition to strengthen the social sustainability in the port and industrial area of Moerdijk. The point is to create common and social provisions for companies, employees and users.

www.havenschapmoerdijk.nl

The port and industrial area of Moerdijk in the Netherlands is to build a circular pipe for a optimum exchange of energy/ warmth, water and residual flows between industrial companies in the port.

[29
["post-4655","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-europe-greenport
["GET
