Vessels that switch to running on LNG, receive a further 20% discount.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenport.com\/news101\/lng\/increasing-in-lng-vessels-drives-bunker-demand\" target=\"_blank\">significant rise next year <\/a>in calls by vessels running on LNG and there will be a resulting rise in the number that qualify for our LNG discount,\u201d said Magnus K\u00e5restedt, chief executive, Gothenburg Port Authority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transition that is taking place is encouraging, and we look forward to welcoming more LNG-powered vessels to the port with a 20% discount per call.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost control<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr K\u00e5restedt added that the port has managed to avoid cost increases through good cost control.
