The new addition represents a US$7m investment and will increase capacity for unloading cargo with zero emissions.<\/p>\n

This new addition will join the port\u2019s other two mobile harbour cranes, and will be assembled and operational by August.<\/p>\n
As a hybrid, the crane has the capacity to run on diesel or electricity. It will plug into the port\u2019s electrical infrastructure currently being implemented as part of the port\u2019s US$3m ZANZEFF (Zero And Near Zero-Emission Freight Facilities) grant.<\/p>\n
The crane is integral in supporting the port\u2019s vision for the world\u2019s first zero-emission ship to store avocado. The crane has the capability to move anywhere on port, however its primary home will be on the South Terminal, handling containerized cargo in support of the port\u2019s banana and fresh produce operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
