The company has received a number of large orders from around the world including for 16 STS45 spreaders for Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT), 24 YSX45E spreaders for London World Gateway and 20 YSX45 spreaders for Georgia Ports Authority. The company is also supplying terminals in Columbia, Nigeria, Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala and Malaysia, among other countries.<\/p>\n
\u201cIncreasing sales on a market which we believe to be relatively flat is a good start of the year. It confirms our strategy \u2013 high quality products combined with excellent local support \u2013 to be right,\u201d said Lars Meurling, marketing director, Bromma.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis includes the availability of spare parts when the customers need them. The quality aspect is equally important when it comes to spares as it relates to the original spreaders in order to reach the safety and reliability levels one could expect from a Bromma spreader,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Bromma says it\u2019s also seen high interest and is in discussions with several terminal operators about its Automatic Lashing Platform (ALP), the first fully automatic system for coning and de-coning of twistlocks.<\/p>\n
The ALP, which can handle 20, 40, 45 and twin 20 foot containers, includes magazines in which the twistlocks are stored during discharge and re-used during loading of a vessel. The storage capacity in the system is designed to handle a full bay of containers on a 14,000 teu vessel on deck or under deck. The system can be installed as a stand-alone unit on the quay or integrated into a platform in the crane.<\/p>\n
Bromma\u2019s equipment is in used in around 500 terminals in 90 nations and six continents and its spreaders are said to be in service today at 97 out of the world\u2019s largest 100 container ports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
