Strainstall said that it\u2019s Container Weight System (CWS) is the first system to achieve full certification from the from the National Measurements and Regulatory Office (NMRO) ensuring full SOLAS compliance.<\/p>\n
Certification follows on from successful installation of CWS across the full straddle carrier fleet at DP World Southampton in the UK.<\/p>\n

EU-type approval enables complete compliance to the IMO\u2019s SOLAS amendment for the verification of container weights came into force 1 July 2016. The approval verifies that a product is fully approved to provide the verified gross mass (VGM) of containers, assisting ports and terminals in the provision of container weighing services to their customers.<\/p>\n
