This network includes railways, inland waterways, short sea shipping routes, and roads that connect urban centres, maritime and inland ports, airports, and terminals.<\/p>\n<p>It promotes efficient transportation for both people and goods, ensures access to jobs and services, and facilitates trade and economic growth. The policy enhances the EU\u2019s economic, social, and territorial cohesion by creating seamless transport systems across borders, eliminating gaps, bottlenecks, and missing links.
