Isabelle Ryckbost \u2013 Secretary General, ESPO<\/strong><\/p>\n

Isabelle Ryckbost has served as Secretary General of ESPO since August 2013. Her career has been deeply rooted in European transport policy and public affairs. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of the European Federation of Inland Ports (EFIP) and spent four years as a Senior Advisor to ESPO.<\/p>\n

She, alongside Lamia Kerdjoudj, Secretary General, FEPORT will look at macro and micro challenges faced by their members and outline their expectations at a time when the European Commission is developing the EU Ports Strategy.<\/p>\n

Tim Verhoeven \u2013 Senior Policy Advisor Sustainable Development, EcoPorts Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tim Verhoeven is ESPO\u2019s Senior Policy Advisor for Sustainable Development and the Coordinator of EcoPorts. With more than 15 years of experience in environmental policy, he specializes in the climate impact and air emissions of shipping. Tim\u2019s work is instrumental in driving sustainability across European ports. Known for his in-depth research and innovative thinking, he has helped shape policies aimed at making the maritime sector more environmentally responsible.<\/p>\n

Tim will be sharing an update on the ESPO Environmental Report. He will also share insights on Innovation, energy transition and new roles for the port beyond 2050. Specifically, how will ports contribute to decarbonization<\/p>\n

About ESPO and EcoPorts<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in 1993, ESPO acts as the independent voice of seaport interests within the European Union. Based in Brussels, the organisation represents port authorities, administrations, and associations from EU member states and Norway. ESPO also welcomes observer members from neighbouring countries including Albania, Iceland, Montenegro, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

EcoPorts, the environmental arm of ESPO, plays a central role in promoting sustainable port practices.
