NSW Ports confirmed to <em>Port Strategy<\/em> that the incident involved Tyne ACFS, a joint venture between ACFS Port Logistics and Tyne Container Service.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;TYNE &#8211; ACFS regrets to advise that an employee, was fatally injured on Wednesday, 25 September 2019 in an accident at the Port Botany Site NSW,&#8221; said Tyne ACFS in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our sincere condolences go to the family, friends and work colleagues of our well liked and respected employee. We are doing all we can to support his family and our workforce.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An investigation is being undertaken by the NSW Police on behalf of the Coroner and the workplace regulator SafeWork NSW and we will be assisting those authorities with the investigations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to news.com.au, a man working at the port became trapped and subsequently crushed by a container.
