{"id":10367,"date":"2016-11-18T09:33:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-18T09:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2016\/11\/18\/beira-lays-out-its-ambitions\/"},"modified":"2016-11-18T09:33:00","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T09:33:00","slug":"beira-lays-out-its-ambitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/africa\/beira-lays-out-its-ambitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Beira lays out its ambitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>While Beira is a modestly-sized facility, it does have a number of strength, according to Rui Sahia Massuangonho, sales and marketing officer for operator Cornedeler de Mocambique.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>He told Intermodal Africa that the capacity goal for Beira is 1m teu by 2055.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year we did 211,000 teu,\u201d he said, adding that this year\u2019s total is \u201cslightly down\u201d because the drought in the region had hit exports.
