{"id":10543,"date":"2017-01-18T14:57:00","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T14:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2017\/01\/18\/boskalis-receives-loi-for-oman-project\/"},"modified":"2017-01-18T14:57:00","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T14:57:00","slug":"boskalis-receives-loi-for-oman-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/middle-east\/boskalis-receives-loi-for-oman-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Boskalis receives LOI for Oman project"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The contract includes engineering, design, procurement and construction of a bulk liquid berth terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Various dredging and civil activities will be executed under the responsibility of Boskalis, including the deepening of the port basin to a depth of 18 metres, reclamation of new land, the construction of a quay wall with a length of one kilometre, a double berth jetty island and stone revetment.<\/p>\n<p>The dredging scope will be executed by the new mega cutter <em>Helios<\/em>, which will be put into service mid-2017, and a jumbo hopper and medium-sized trailer suction hopper dredger.<\/p>\n<p>The design activities are scheduled to begin in the next few weeks, while equipment will be mobilised mid-2017.<\/p>\n<p>The project is expected to be completed in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V.
