Bestobell\u2019s valves are fitted in the tank room space between the LNG fuel tank and the engine and are said to be a critical part of the piping system that feeds the LNG fuel to the vapourisers.<\/sub> These vapourisers then convert the LNG back to gas.<\/p>\n The company has supplied W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Fuel Gas Handling Division (FGH) over 20 ship sets of cryogenic globe valves for a variety of projects over the past three years, including the Harvey Gulf offshore vessels, which were the first LNG fuelled vessels assembled in America.<\/p>\n This latest \u2018green\u2019 tug is just one of many being designed and built as stricter IMO regulations enter into force and EU planning set to go further with emissions regulations covering existing shipping trading into and out of, and between European ports.
