Katharine Palmer, environmental manager at Lloyd\u2019s Register, co-organiser of the \u2018Ambition 1.5oC: Global Shipping\u2019s Action Plan\u2019 summit, said it offers an opportunity for collaboration, in what is often a fragmented industry, to make the plan a reality and highlight its potential and commercial attractiveness.<\/p>\n
Ms Palmer said: \u201cWith the reality to achieve a 50% reduction in CO2 by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement, zero emission vessels (ZEVs) need to be entering the fleet in about 2030.\u201d<\/p>\n
The summit, during the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23), will incorporate a structured visual thinking technique developed by Group Partners to capture complexity through visualisation, to help reveal new patterns and approaches to familiar challenges.<\/p>\n
