This application led conference supports maritime ports and terminals to reduce their carbon foot prints whilst becoming more sensitive to the environmental considerations, which is vital to their future success.<\/p>\n<p>GreenPort Congress brought 98 port authorities, terminal operators and shipping lines representing 30 countries together in Europe in 2017. The American audience is looking to be greater, with ports representing the whole of America taking part.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s conference concentrates on <strong>Green Ports are smart ports<\/strong>. With keynote presentations from Raymond Fitzgerald, Chief Operating Officer of WWL Logistics and Chairman of the ARC (American Roll on Roll Off Carriers) and Patrick Verhoeven, the Managing Director at International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), this is a conference not to be missed.<\/p>\n<p>The full programme can be viewed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenport.com\/congressamerica\/greenport-cruise\/conference-programme\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is hosted by the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Maryland Department of the Environment and will take place from 16\u201318 May.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference will start with a Welcome Reception, on 15 May 2018, followed by the Conference Drinks Reception and Dinner which will take place on 16 May 2018, both of which are included in the combined delegate attendance.
