{"id":1482,"date":"2021-06-28T12:27:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T11:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2021\/06\/28\/apm-terminals-deal\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T13:51:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T12:51:11","slug":"apm-terminals-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/europe\/apm-terminals-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"APM Terminals deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Port Authority of Algeciras (APBA) has approved the extension of the concession term of APM Terminals Algeciras at Muelle de Juan Carlos I from June 2024 until November 2032.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAPM Terminals has committed to making significant investments in the terminal, including the acquisition of 12 RTG cranes, the automation of the gate and the installation of 500 additional plugs for reefer containers,\u201d said the company.<\/p>\n<p>Operations at APM Terminals Algeciras commenced in February 1986 with only 78 employees, two cranes and covering an area of 45,000m2.
