DP World is putting the straddle carriers into immediate effect at the Port of Southampton completing a \u00a340m investment over the last 12 months in Britain\u2019s second largest container terminal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe \u00a310m cost of the straddle carriers is part of DP World\u2019s ongoing \u00a340m investment in Southampton and should be viewed alongside the recent announcement that we will begin work on a \u00a3300m new fourth berth at our London Gateway logistics hub,\u201d said Ernst Schulze, UK Chief Executive of DP World.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs these major investments show, we believe in the UK market and have the ambition and the resources to boost growth, support businesses, create jobs and improve living standards.\u201d<\/p>\n
