{"id":2091,"date":"2022-03-21T10:37:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-21T10:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2022\/03\/21\/offshore-wind-logistics\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T13:54:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T12:54:44","slug":"offshore-wind-logistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/americas-greenport\/offshore-wind-logistics\/","title":{"rendered":"Offshore wind logistics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WIND is teaming up with Waterson Terminals (WTS) in Rhode Island to establish a new cable storage yard at ProvPort in Providence, expected to be operational by Q3 this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWaterson Terminal Services is thrilled to partner with WIND as we work to provide a high level of port logistics and stevedoring service to the US offshore wind supply chain,\u201d said Waterson Terminal Services general manager, Chris Waterson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWIND has gained valuable experience supporting cable logistics projects in Europe and Asia and combining that expertise with our existing management team and skilled, local International Longshoreman\u2019s Association workforce will further strengthen our service offering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The main cable storage yard will be set up in Providence, with the potential to expand into other WTS facilities as the business grows and more space is required.
