{"id":218,"date":"2018-08-01T22:31:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T21:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2018\/08\/01\/data-good-for-port-relationship-building\/"},"modified":"2018-08-01T22:31:00","modified_gmt":"2018-08-01T21:31:00","slug":"data-good-for-port-relationship-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/terminal-operations\/data-good-for-port-relationship-building\/","title":{"rendered":"Data good for port relationship building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking exclusively to <em>Port Strategy <\/em>at TOC Europe, Mr Jensen said that in the ports and terminals industry, data can be used to help with exception handling and to predict when things are likely to go wrong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen things go wrong \u2014 and we know that they do go wrong at times \u2014 what is then the best course of action?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is the information we need to inform our own staff, and more importantly to inform our customers, on what \u2026 our Plan B is and what \u2026 we are doing going forwards?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a fantastic opportunity here to not just reduce the cost of exception handling, but also to build relationships \u2014 being able to show our customers that when things go wrong, we know what to do.
