The Port of Newcastle Green Hydrogen Hub Project is a joint venture with Macquarie Capital and Macquarie\u2019s Green Investment Group and is currently progressing an ARENA funded feasibility study.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis funding is a vote of confidence by the Federal Government, which recognises the role of the port as a key player in the emerging global green hydrogen economy,\u201d said Craig Carmody, CEO, Port of Newcastle.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe significance of this funding cannot be understated. By 2025, we hope to have Phase 1 of the Hydrogen Hub complete, which will benefit a range of local industry and position the Hunter Region to be a key player in the emerging hydrogen opportunity,\u201d Mr Carmody said.<\/p>\n
