The Luminus turbines have an installed capacity of 3.45 MW each, producing around 17,100 MWh each year which is enough to power more than 4,500 households.<\/p>\n

Pioneers in energy transition<\/strong><\/p>\n Over the past ten years, Luminus has invested more than \u20ac1 billion in renewable energy projects, primarily in wind energy. With 273 onshore wind turbines by the end of this year, the company has doubled the installed capacity in five years and now produces 1,300 GWh of green energy.<\/p>\n This latest installation helps further Jan De Nul\u2019s Code Zero programme which aims to eliminate emissions, accidents, breaches and waste. Best known for its role in the construction industry, the company is focusing ever more on sustainability and now specialises in interconnector installation, submarine cabling and supplying wind farm installation vessels.<\/p>\n \u201cThe energy transition today is first and foremost an electricity transition,\u201d said Julie De Nul, chief executive Jan De Nul Dredging.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are proud that with our worldwide activities we can contribute to this further up-scaling.
