Under the agreement, NWTN plans to initially operate a 25,000m\u00b2 manufacturing, research and development, vehicle testing and logistics facility constructed by KIZAD with an annual capacity of 5,000 to 10,000 units for the assembly of semi-knocked-down EVs.<\/p>\n
In phase two, NWTN plans to introduce several new EV models and expand capacity to 50,000 units per year.<\/p>\n
The announcement follows a push by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy to accelerate the development of EV infrastructure as part of Abu Dhabi\u2019s Low Emission Vehicle Strategy.<\/p>\n

With its new facility in KIZAD, NWTN will benefit from proximity to AD Ports Group\u2019s automobile business ecosystem, which includes existing and upcoming projects such as the region\u2019s first lithium production facility by Lepidico, the Regional Auto Hub \u2013 Abu Dhabi and the Khalifa Port Auto Terminal.<\/p>\n
