The new companies include the Port of Rotterdam, Arcadis, DNV, Octopus Hydrogen, Topsoe and the UK\u2019s University of Birmingham, representing different sectors from industry and shipping to consulting and risk management.<\/p>\n

Hydrogen pledge<\/strong><\/p>\n The new pledges to support the deployment of hydrogen by 2030 were announced at the World Hydrogen Conference.<\/p>\n This raises the total number of companies who have already joined the H2Zero initiative up to 34. <\/p>\n Launched in 2021 at COP26 in Glasgow, UK, H2Zero aims to increase market confidence in the growth of decarbonised hydrogen by 2030 and accelerate the use and production of hydrogen as an essential part of the future net-zero energy system.<\/p>\n All six new companies pledge to support the development of a hydrogen economy by among other things, building manufacturing facilities to produce highly efficient electrolysers and bringing to market software for electrolysis optimisation.<\/p>\n The Port of Rotterdam has been clear with its commitment to hydrogen as key to the energy transition.<\/p>\n It\u2019s projects include the HyTransport.RTM public hydrogen pipeline through the port of Rotterdam, which, in the future, will be connected to the national and international hydrogen network.
