Plans are being developed to install two turbines at Hull (up to 12MW). Consultations were also held recently for proposals to have onshore wind turbines at the ports of Grimsby and Immingham.<\/p>\n

Achieving net-zero<\/strong><\/p>\n ABP supports government ambitions to achieving net zero and recently launched its own \u00a32 billion plan for Energy Transition growth and Net Zero 2040.\u202f<\/p>\n Called Ready for Tomorrow it looks to meet the challenges and grasp the opportunities, including with regards to wind power.<\/p>\n The Humber ports are already known for their important contribution to the UK offshore wind industry.<\/p>\n ABP\u2019s Port of Grimsby is strategically located adjacent to the world\u2019s largest offshore wind farm, Hornsea 2. It is the UK\u2019s largest offshore wind operations and maintenance port, supporting wind-farm operators and the wider supply chain.<\/p>\n Green Port Hull, the UK\u2019s world class centre for renewable energy, was developed with a \u00a3310m ABP and Siemens Gamesa partnership investment. Offshore wind turbine blade manufacturing, assembly, and servicing facilities make up its centrepiece.
