Containership arrivals have dropped 41% whilst cargo volumes are up 32% since 2005.

Greenhouse gas emissions have also fallen, down 22% from 2021 and an overall 4% from 2005. Reducing this further remains a significant challenge and the port is collaborating with its trans-Pacific partners to decarbonise vessels and establish green shipping corridors.

To remain on target the port is decarbonising all cargo handling equipment by 2030 and all drayage trucks by 2035, offering incentives to freight handlers and investing in charging and clean-fuelling infrastructure.

The Port of Los Angeles made significant progress towards its clear air targets in 2022 compared with the previous year.

[33,8
["post-3700","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-americas-greenport","category-projects-initiatives-greenport
["GET
