The European shuttle will now run six regular departures per week instead of three, thanks to investment from transport companies, Kombiverkehr and Spedition Bode.<\/p>\n

Transport company Kombiverkehr has a well-established network with over 110 terminals in Europe and views the collaboration with Spedition Bode as the main reason for the increased train connections.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith our one-stop shop offers, freight forwarders receive a continuous service from Duisburg, Ludwigshafen, Barcelona, or Verona, for example, while saving around 80% CO2,\u201d said Ulrich Bedacht, manager Northern European Seaports & German Baltic Sea Ports at Kombiverkehr.<\/p>\n
The new schedule opens up possibilities for future development of rail transport, according to both Yilport and Spedition Bode.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are currently investigating the possibilities to establish even more train routes to other parts of the country,\u201d said Muhumuza.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition to the train connection to Europe, we have recently expanded our own train shuttle that runs between our container terminal in the port of G\u00e4vle and Stockholm North from three to four days a week.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stev Etzrodt, executive managing director at Spedition Bode added that the company planned to work with Kombiverkehr to establish a connection from Stockholm to northern Sweden.<\/p>\n
