The conference builds on the renowned Propulsion and Future Fuels Conference, now in its 44th edition and the 18 previous Greenport Congress and Cruise conferences in Europe, Australia and the US.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s an event underpinned by IAPH, BIMCO, Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation, Singapore Shipping Association, MPA Singapore, Blue Visby ICS, IBIA and IWSA.<\/p>\n
On the agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n Highlights on the first day of the conference will include the opening keynote panel on \u2019Ports and shipping: Collaboration to achieve 2050 goals\u2019, which will discuss future marine low and zero-carbon fuels.<\/p>\n The panel will discuss how these fuels including biofuels, methanol, ammonia and potentially hydrogen hold the key to decarbonising the maritime industry, through both emission-free powering of vessels and port operations.<\/p>\n Also on the first day, there will be a linked discussion on infrastructure development.The session will cover solutions for creating a sustainable port infrastructure including bunker requirements.<\/p>\n A discussion on raising money for decarbonisation with green, sustainability-linked and transition loans and bonds with Pang Toh Wee, senior consultant – maritime advisory, DNV, will follow.<\/p>\n Day two will emphasise the importance of green shipping corridor projects.<\/p>\n Mr Wei Siang New, director, maritime decarbonisation & net-zero pathways, MPA, will discuss how its own maritime shipping routes showcase low and zero-emission life cycle fuels and technologies to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n Also on the second day, Ilias Soultanias, managing principal engineer, sustainability, ABS, will propose a techno-economic optimisation model for green shipping corridors that considers stakeholder interactions.<\/p>\n The full programme is available from the conference website Green Ports & Shipping Congress<\/a> where you can also book your delegate place<\/a>.<\/p>\n
