Initially, the shorepower facility will be provided from the national grid but, once established, the port may use open access to buy green power for shore power purposes. The supply will be enabled for two ships simultaneously, eliminating the use of diesel at the port and also helping reduce noise pollution.<\/p>\n

APM Terminals Mumbai is one of the five container terminals operating from Nhava Sheva\u2019s Jawaharlal Nehru Port, having procured a 30-year licence from the port to provide container handling services.<\/p>\n
