It\u2019s a vital step towards decarbonising the sector,\u201d Mr Kantz explained during his presentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Future fuels tool<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Set to launch at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldportsconference.com\/event\/WPC\/summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Ports Conference<\/a> in Hamburg on 9 October, the tool is designed to help ports assess their preparedness for handling future fuels, including low- and zero-carbon options.<\/p>\n<p>Developed in partnership with the World Ports Climate Action Program (WPCAP) and Mission Innovation, the tool is part of IAPH\u2019s commitment to advancing sustainable fuel solutions for the maritime industry.<\/p>\n<p>IAPH has announced plans to expand the PRL-MF tool with additional checklists for ports preparing to accommodate vessels powered by alternative fuels and those transporting these fuels as cargo.
