These funds are earmarked for shore power and zero-emission infrastructure projects at ports across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Seacap will fund both new developments and upgrades to existing port facilities, offering long-term support for multi-phase investments. This approach helps ports comply with tightening EU regulations and meet growing expectations from shipping companies and cruise lines demanding zero-emission facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany ports are municipally owned, with competing investment needs in schools, healthcare and other infrastructure,\u201d said Bekkenes. \u201cWith Seacap, green port development doesn\u2019t have to compete with other vital public projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Seacap plans to begin its operations in Norway, using the country\u2019s leadership in electrification before expanding across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s only natural that Norway leads the way,\u201d added Svendsen. \u201cBut our focus is pan-European.
