Emissions reduction<\/strong><\/p>\n The collaboration with CATL will combine the company\u2019s cutting-edge battery technologies with APM Terminals\u2019 operational scale and logistics expertise.<\/p>\n CATL will supply high-performance batteries and system-level solutions to power electric port equipment, enabling significant emissions reductions.<\/p>\n In an additional agreement, APM Terminals and SANY Marine have signed a Master Framework Agreement for the future supply of battery-electric terminal tractors.<\/p>\n Under the agreement, about 500 diesel-powered terminal tractors across APM Terminals\u2019 global network will be replaced with battery-electric models by 2030. <\/p>\n CATL has previously partnered up with Sany on previous electrification projects including a battery swapping project for heavy-duty trucks in Fujian.<\/p>\n All parties are members of the Zero Emission Port Alliance (ZEPA), which seeks to accelerate clean energy transitions across the shipping industry.<\/p>\n The partnerships extend across the full battery lifecycle, from product development to recycling, ensuring sustainable operations.<\/p>\n These new agreements align with APM Terminals\u2019 goal to reach net-zero emissions by 2040 by using electric terminal tractors and other electric port equipment powered by renewable energy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" APM Terminals, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.
