{"id":5473,"date":"2025-07-11T11:56:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T10:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2025\/07\/11\/ges-exits-netherlands-to-focus-on-asia\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:17:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:17:05","slug":"ges-exits-netherlands-to-focus-on-asia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/alternative-fuels-greenport\/ges-exits-netherlands-to-focus-on-asia\/","title":{"rendered":"GES exits Netherlands to focus on Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The company has sold both its Port of Rotterdam terminal to Tepsa as well as divesting its Amsterdam terminal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPart of the investment cycle is realising value from assets at the right time, and we\u2019re confident this was the right moment for GES,\u201d said Peter Vucins, chief executive of GES.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now fully focused on growing our business in Asia, with Port Klang [in Malaysia] at the centre of that strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Rotterdam facility includes 212,000cbm of tank storage and around 18 hectares of development land in the Europoort area, whilst the Amsterdam site, which GES acquired in 2016, now boasts 300,000cbm of capacity for gasoline, petroleum and biofuels following two major expansion projects.<\/p>\n<p>With the Rotterdam and Amsterdam sales completed, GES no longer holds assets in the Netherlands.
