The initiative aims to demonstrate how ports can drastically reduce emissions without costly retrofits or shore power infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project validates what we\u2019ve known for years \u2013 ports need emissions solutions that work today without the infrastructure disruptions caused by solutions like shore power,\u201d said Mike Walker, chief executive of STAX Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe UK government\u2019s investment in PortZero proves there\u2019s real demand for technology that delivers immediate results without forcing ports to choose between operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
