APM Terminals has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Its main strategy involves converting fossil-fuelled port equipment to battery-electric container handling machinery and transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2030 for its Scope 2 emissions.<\/p>\n
The company has already executed large-scale \u2018diesel-to-electric\u2019 conversions at terminals worldwide, replacing diesel-powered cranes with electric alternatives and investing in renewable energy such as solar power to supply clean electricity to its facilities.<\/p>\n
