The company has been awarded a NOK 442 million grant from ENOVA to support the construction of three ammonia bunkering terminals, developed with partners, along the Norwegian coast.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s an investment marks a significant milestone in establishing ammonia as a viable zero-carbon fuel for vessels operating in coastal and offshore segments, where dedicated fuel bunkering infrastructure does not yet exist.<\/p>\n

Bunkering infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n ENOVA is a Norwegian state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Climate and Environment, providing public funding to accelerate the transition to low-emission technologies.<\/p>\n Its grants are designed to reduce financial risk for first-of-a-kind projects, support the development of terminal infrastructure, and enable the commercial uptake of alternative fuels such as ammonia.<\/p>\n The ammonia bunkering terminals will be strategically located in Flor\u00f8, Stavanger and Mongstad, strengthening national fuel bunkering capacity and ensuring reliable supply for future ammonia-powered vessels.<\/p>\n All three facilities are targeted to be fully operational by 2029, aligning infrastructure readiness with expected market demand.<\/p>\n Norway has a strong track record as a first mover in alternative fuels, including LNG and other clean maritime solutions.
