We have extensive experience with Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers and value their strong performance,\u201d said&nbsp;Ingo Witte, managing director, HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort GmbH.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChoosing their proven <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/products-and-services\/pnct-expands-straddle-carrier-fleet\/1507272.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hybrid solution<\/a> helps us to meet our CO2-reduction goals while maintaining the high productivity we need in daily operations,\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Optimum performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The units combine diesel generator sets with onboard batteries, supporting hybrid port equipment deployment while maintaining performance standards, with commissioning scheduled by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Each straddle carrier is built on Konecranes\u2019 latest modular design concept, enabling simplified upgrades to alternative powertrains, including fully battery-electric or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/environment-and-sustainability\/konecranes-unveils-hydrogen-straddle-carrier\/1505727.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hydrogen configurations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The approach gives terminal operators flexibility to adapt drive systems as regulatory pressures, energy strategies and emissions reduction targets evolve.
