To aim is to give terminals more time to focus on “high-value innovations”, said Floris Vernooij, senior product manager at Navis.

“We need to do more with what we have on ever less resources,” he said. “We can standardise certain business processes to achieve faster implementation. These will be expanded over time.

“The essence for these blueprints is that they provide the base configuration for a standard terminal of a specific type,” she said.

This year marks the launch of Navis Smart Projects for the three terminal types and the initial meeting of the Navis Standards Working Group. Next year and 2021 will see the launch of Navis Smart Projects for semi-automated, rail and autoRTG blueprints, as well as the launch of Navis Smart Training and the integration of blueprints into applications.

Navis confirmed that there will be no cost to using the standards and that interested terminals can start piloting the Smart Projects today.

By Carly Fields

Navis has launched a standards program to give new terminals implementing its software a “headstart” in minimising the amount of decisions needed when configuring.

[63
["post-621","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-products-services
["GET
