Only in the case of an incident can the original video data, strictly protected by the \u2018four-eye principle\u2019, be retrieved.<\/p>\n<p>The system proves that video surveillance and privacy protection \u2018are not a contradiction\u2019, says the company. In the smartROAD project presented at the IAPH World Ports Conference in Hamburg, all the cameras were privacy-protected through the KiwiVision system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith cameras, sensors and position tracking, the amount of traffic, traffic flow and truck cargo is measured on streets and bridges leading to the port. Accordingly, a Port Road Management Centre<em> <\/em>can regulate traffic and use the traffic infrastructure economically,\u201d says KiwiSecurity. \u201cThe video recordings, which are necessary for data collection and processing in the course of the smartROAD project, may solely be realised when the data protection employed complies with European privacy policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The European Privacy Seal is awarded by EuroPriSe, which started as an EU-funded project aimed at establishing a transEuropean privacy seal. Certifications are offered for IT products and IT-based services.
