The ports have sufficient deep water to enable handy and panamax class vessels to use their facilities &#8211; and both have ample capacity to expand volumes.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Pollock, BBI&#8217;s chief operating officer of transport, said: &#8220;This transaction is one of several ports in a pipeline of European port opportunities being considered by BBI. Its immediately accretive nature is representative of other potential European port opportunities currently being pursued.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Both port concessions range from 2015 to 2024 but are to be extended until 2037.<\/p>\n<p>On a related note, a BBI Euroports head office in Luxembourg has been created alongside the appointment of two experienced ports executives.
