This, along with plans for the new deepwater terminal, has put pressure on the workloads of pilots.<\/p>\n<p>The E-Sea Fix PP unit acts as a pilot\u2019s navigator, using the ports existing RTK network for accurate positioning and enabling the planning of routes \u2013 as well as displaying current position on a computer display.<\/p>\n<p>The port believes the unit will add to the safety of manoeuvres in the tideway and give the port authority greater confidence in restricted visibility.
