{"id":7967,"date":"2010-04-21T10:48:00","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T09:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2010\/04\/21\/abp-challenged-on-humber\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:37:52","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:37:52","slug":"abp-challenged-on-humber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/europe\/abp-challenged-on-humber\/","title":{"rendered":"ABP challenged on Humber"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RMS chief executive Peter Aarosin, delivering the annual lecture to the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in London, attacked ABP for its \u201cstranglehold\u201d of the Humber ports, which he said \u201ckills off any entrepreneurial spirit\u201d and handicapped the region\u2019s growth as a maritime hub.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Humber Oil Terminals Trustees (HOTT), the leasehold owner and operator of Immingham Oil Terminal, is planning to seek a harbour revision order to take over the IOT facilities as a harbour authority, removing them from ABP\u2019s control.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood that ABP has not renewed HOTT\u2019s exclusive lease on the terminal.
