The largest of these orders is a contract for 56 crane spreaders to Colombo International Container Terminal in Sri Lanka, of which 44 of these will be Bromma\u2019s YSX40E all-electric yard crane spreaders. Colombo International Container Terminal is a new deep water greenfield terminal development project in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
Vikram Raman, vice-president and commercial director, Bromma, said: \u201cThis is a very important port development project in South Asia and Bromma is delighted to be selected to support the terminal with equipment that will be crucial to its future operational success.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition to the Colombo order, Bromma has also won a new Greenline contract for the supply of 17 YSX45E yard crane spreaders to Northport in Malaysia and a new contract for 16 Greenline YSX40E crane spreaders to Nansha in China.<\/p>\n
This news follows the delivery of Bromma\u2019s 2,000th all electric spreader to the port of Ningbo Daxie in China.<\/p>\n
Bromma says that the boom in electric yard spreaders is linked to increased automation and the need for maximum efficiency.<\/p>\n
The company has a green vision for the future: its spreaders to have as minimal carbon footprint as possible, but also integrated spreader technology \u2013 bringing together electric spreaders at automated terminals equipped with container load sensing, scanning and green productivity software to improve operation.<\/p>\n
