{"id":8542,"date":"2012-08-15T16:31:00","date_gmt":"2012-08-15T15:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2012\/08\/15\/apmt-competition-for-virginia-operations\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:43:25","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:43:25","slug":"apmt-competition-for-virginia-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/north-america\/apmt-competition-for-virginia-operations\/","title":{"rendered":"APMT competition for Virginia operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Port Strategy <\/i>spoke to the Port of Virginia following the deadline and learned that two alternative proposals have been received and that the authority is now in the process of reviewing the applications to determine if they meet the submission criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Pedraza, office of Transportation Public-Private Partnerships, Port of Virginia, said to <i>PS<\/i>: \u201cWe do not plan to disclose publicly the identity of the proposers or the scope of the proposals until we have had an opportunity to perform the responsiveness check and to brief the Virginia Port Authority Board of Commissioners on August 22.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is an interesting development though because at the end of May, <i>PS<\/i> revealed that APM Terminals had submitted an unsolicited proposal to the Virginia Port Authority to operate both the authority\u2019s state owned and leased terminals.
