{"id":8987,"date":"2014-01-14T15:37:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-14T15:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2014\/01\/14\/equipment-and-product-round-up\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:47:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:47:34","slug":"equipment-and-product-round-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/equipment\/equipment-and-product-round-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Equipment and product round-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Konecranes RTGs for Colombia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Konecranes has received an order for six rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) from Sociedad Portuaria Terminal de Contenedores de Buenaventura (TCBUEN) in Colombia &#8211; the lift business expert&#8217;s first delivery to the country.<\/p>\n<p>TCBUEN, part of commenced operations in 2010 and the six new RTGs will almost double its container yard capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The fully electric cranes will be equipped with Konecranes\u2019 Active Load Control Technology and network braking, which takes energy generated out of the crane during braking and feeds it back into the grid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kalmar SmartPort expanded portfolio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kalmar has expanded its SmartPort automation portfolio with two new solutions \u2013 stack profiling and anti-truck lifting. Both can be integrated as options of the SmartStack and SmartLift products, but also sold separately.<\/p>\n<p>Stack profiling ensures safety by recognising the position of containers in the stack helping to prevent containers from being knocked over by the spreader, a key safety issue.<\/p>\n<p>The anti-truck lifting option ensures trucks are correctly loaded preventing unintentional lifting. It uses a laser based detection system protecting against lifting with a locked or jammed chassis twistlock.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strong orders for Bromma spreaders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stockholm-based Bromma, is maintaining its strong order intake. The period September to December 2013 demonstrated a high volume of yard spreader orders for both RTGs and ASCs.<\/p>\n<p>New orders for all-electric Greenline spreaders include an order for 17 YSX45E for Trapac in the USA. This is the delivery of spreaders for the second phase of ACSs going into the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Separating twin spreader orders include 11 YTS45 separating twin yard spreaders for TCP, Brazil.
