{"id":9121,"date":"2014-09-06T09:58:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-06T08:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2014\/09\/06\/cutting-edge-technologies-on-dock\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:48:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:48:49","slug":"cutting-edge-technologies-on-dock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/equipment\/cutting-edge-technologies-on-dock\/","title":{"rendered":"Cutting edge technologies on dock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Craig Halford, regional sales manager for Navis, told delegates at the 3rd Black Sea Ports and Shipping 2014 Conference, that the software specialist spends 31% of its revenue on research and development. &#8220;We have a special department at Navis that is focussed on the arrival of the 18,000 teu and 25,000 teu ships, looking at how their arrival will affect vessel planning and practices,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Navis has employed cutting-edge technologies to aid its future planning investigations.
