It\u2019s a good addition for Grup TCB, which already owns one of two major container terminals in Barcelona and another in Valencia on the Mediterranean coast.<\/p>\n<p>Victor Mu\u00f1oz has been appointed as CEO of TPC. He has worked for Grup TCB for 21 years and has led several projects, including the implementation of the Paranagu\u00e1 Terminal. He was also CEO of TCBuen (Colombia) between 2010 and 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Xavier Soucheiron, Grup TCB\u2019s CEO, said: &#8220;We will promote a growth plan in the Castell\u00f3n Multipurpose Terminal based on modernisation and operational efficiency. TPC will allow us to consolidate the overall export and import services we offer our customers who operate in Spain or who call at our ports to communicate with Africa, Asia and the Arabian Gulf.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TPC handles about 80% of all teu processed in the Port of Castell\u00f3n and is an important export platform for the region.<\/p>\n<p>Under Globalvia\u2019s management, the terminal has recently achieved the ISO 9001 quality certificate and in 2014 increased its container traffic by 5%, reaching 162,000 movements.
