{"id":9494,"date":"2015-11-06T12:18:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T12:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portstrategy.nfdtesting.uk\/greenport\/2015\/11\/06\/apmt-brings-in-qingdao-at-vado\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T14:51:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T13:51:33","slug":"apmt-brings-in-qingdao-at-vado","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.portstrategy.com\/greenport\/news\/europe\/apmt-brings-in-qingdao-at-vado\/","title":{"rendered":"APMT brings in Qingdao at Vado"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leaders from the port group met with APM Terminals executives in The Hague to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the venture but terms and investment amount were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>APM Terminals Vado is a new terminal in northern Italy, which when opened in January 2018 will handle both containerised and liquid bulk cargoes.<\/p>\n<p>It will be integrated operationally with the existing 275,000 annual teu capacity Vado Reefer Terminal facility, which was acquired by the operator in August 2015.<\/p>\n<p>APMT is also a minority shareholder in the Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal (QQCT) in China where a major expansion of the facilities at the port is now underway.<\/p>\n<p>The Port of Qingdao is located in the Shandong Province on the Yellow Sea and is one of northern China\u2019s major ports.
